Mallie Gross Pennington

Mrs. Mallie Gross Pennington, 88 of Bakers Fork Rd., Yeaddiss, KY. passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at her residence. She was born at Causey, KY the daughter of the late Dewey Gross and the late Rebecca Pennington Gross. By occupation Mallie was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her family. Mallie was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dewey and Rebecca Gross, husband: Ray Pennington, brothers: Johnie, Morgan, Henry P., and Willard, sister: Parlee Witt, granddaughter: Marsha Dykes, son-in-law: Ossel Day, infant brother: Purl, infant sister: Jenny, brother-in-laws: Elmer Witt. Bruce Woods, Bob Harris, sister-in-law: Daisy Gross. Mrs. Mallie Gross Pennington leaves surviving the following relatives: daughter; Elaine Day of Yeaddiss, KY, brother: Chrisley Gross & Irene of Smilax, KY, sisters: Alice Woods of Marion, IN, Jane Harris of Marion , IN, Jewell Mobley & Bill of La Fontaine, IN, Mary Baker & Ernest of Wooton, KY, sister-in-laws: Lottie Gross of Bean Station, TN, Lillian Ruth Gross of Yeaddiss, KY, two grandchildren: Angela Kay Dykes and Christopher Ray Day. Mallie leaves surviving a host of other treasured relatives and friends.
